A Patron of Reading is a designated author who works long-term with a school to build a relationship with the teachers and children. Full information about the amazing scheme can be found on the Patron of Reading website.

In short, the author will help the school to build a culture of reading through pleasure through workshops and general involvement in the school community. This might be through writing competitions, staff training, school visits or anything else that they agree will benefit the children.
